Complaint Comments:
Our customer's vehicle sustained damaged on 6/11/22. She contacted Allstate Ins to have a physical inspection on her vehicle. She could not speak with anyone and after several attempts and several phone calls reluctantly she followed Allstate instructions and sent in photos of damages. Allstate photo estimator Phyllis Copling wrote a photo estimate for $1,294.79. Our customer brought her vehicle in for repairs and a proper inspection where we wrote our repair order for $6,178.00 and contacted Allstate for a supplemental inspection. Allstate sent out appraiser Walter J. Golab who signed in at our facility at on July 14th at 10:49 to inspect our customer's vehicle. Golab signed out at 11:31 at our facility without leaving a copy of his appraisal stating he could not leave a copy of his appraisal because he did not have an internet connection. We explained as per the state law he must go over his appraisal with the consumer's representative. He advised he would send us a copy as soon as could connect with the internet. At that time we could go over the appraisal by phone call if needed. We are still waiting for Appraiser Golab to provide his appraisal. I am writing this complaint at 3:30 pm on Friday 7-15-22 afternoon, July 15th. We have not received a copy of his appraisal and for this reason we find Allstate Insurance and Walter J Golab in violation of the PA Motor Vehicle Physical Damage Appraisers Act and Regulation. This is over 24 hours since the Allstate appraiser inspected our customers vehicle. Over 24 hours since the appraiser advised he would be providing a copy of his appraisal. This shows a wanton disregard for Allstate's policy holder as well as the purpose of the Commonwealth's laws to protect our consumers. Please investigate our complaint and enforce the consumer protection laws of Pennsylvania. Thank You, Stephen Behrndt, President Crawford's Auto Center, Inc.
