Complaint Comments:
State Farm has repeatedly delayed, mis-represented and mis-informed the Leah Baynes since her 2022 Jeep Wagoneer was vandalized on July 22, 2024 and brought to GA Collison Center. The vehicle is still in our shop waiting for State Farm to commit and address all the actual physical damage(s) and the necessary repairs since August 14th. The assigned staff PA Licensed Appraiser Anthony Scarcelle had indicated this vehicle might be an economical total loss based on the initial estimated cost of repairs he had prepared on August 1, 2024 in the amount of $26,667.64 (CCC's threshold at 60%) and two weeks afterwards an inside claims rep on August 14th had called to inform us the vehicle was now repairable. On August 14th we had submitted a supplemental request for all the underestimated and underpaid repairs by omission that were not initial addressed, and have been waiting for State Farm to re-assign their staff appraiser to come out for the assignment. On September 6th afterhours Friday we had received another inaccurate supplemental summary with only 12 line items addressed for $2,345.31 (CCC threshold now at 70%) VS what we prepared and share along with the photos, for over $42,000.00 plus in actual damages! Please review our shop's emailed supplemental request below; " State Farm, Jonathan, Antony, Leah Baynes, et al; Your immediate action is required, attached is the State Farm 1st supplemental summary report that Anthony Scarcelle had prepared on September 6th and emailed a copy after hours, addressing only 12 line items for an additional $2,345.67 VS. what we had previously submitted along with photos to State Farm for review. The considerable damage on this vehicle requires a thorough physical damage appraisal, it's more than a simple look at the damage and push a button on the CCC ESTIMATE GUIDE DATA. This unprofessional conduct we're experiencing needs to come to an end with out any further delays. Please re-assign a local State Farm PA Licensed appraiser for a 2nd supplemental request at our location, with the vehicle owner present to go over everything that has been omitted on the past 2 assignments asap! Please call the vehicle owner and us, to schedule a date and time so we can meet and have this vehicle placed outside In the agreed designated area that has been done for many years in the past, so the staff appraiser can complete their 3rd physical damage appraisal/supplemental assignment. Unfortunately we are unable to assist any insurance carrier with their photo apps, virtual assistance, b2b, CCC assignments & etc.. Unless State Farm is willing to call and we can both discuss everything line by line professionally and attempt amicably to reach a resolution on behalf of the vehicle owner. Please respect and adhere to the DEMAND request below as per the MOTOR VEHICLE PHYSICAL DAMAGE APPRAISER ACT Our customer has requested a physical inspection of the damages to their vehicle. This message is to place State Farm on notice of the demands for a physical inspection within the rights of the PA Motor Vehicle Physical Damage Appraiser Act. Please let us know within 48 hours when this inspection will commence. GA Collision Center Inc. request that an appointment be scheduled within 24 hours of your inspection. MOTOR VEHICLE PHYSICAL DAMAGE APPRAISER ACT Act of Dec. 29, 1972, P.L. 1713, No. 367 Cl. 63 (c) An appraiser may prepare a repair estimate obtained by personal inspection or by photographs, videos or telephonic means. An appraiser may not require the submission of photographs or videos in order to obtain an appraisal. An appraiser, or an insurer as part of the appraisal process, shall disclose to the owner of the vehicle that there is no requirement to submit photographs or videos in order to obtain an appraisal. ((c) amended Apr.14,2016,P.L.79,No.13) (d) No appraiser or his employer shall require that repairs be made in any specified repair shop. (5) Inspect a vehicle within six working days of assignment to the appraiser unless intervening circumstances (i.e. catastrophe, death, failure of the parties to cooperate) render such inspection impossible. Please respond in GOOD FAITH and according with the PA CODE Laws and Regulations! " On behalf of this PA Consumer we are asking the PA DOI to look into this unprofessional conduct State Farm has put Leah Baynes into, include the money out of pocket expenses for the rental that should have expired the 30 days limits, just because this long time customer of GA Collision Center choose to have her vandalized vehicle brought to our shop! Please call for any additional information if needed! Thanks Art 610 626 3176 GA COLLISION CENTER
